Quim Castelló has been a versatile and in-demand session drummer in New York City for the past three years. During this time he combined touring and a residency with the legendary Cafe Wha’s house band.
Musical genres include R’&’B, soul, funk, and fusion. Additional musical influences include jazz, pop, latin music and Spanish flamenco rhythms.
In 2020, Quim Castello started working as a teacher assistant at the Musicians Institute College of Contemporary Music in Los Angeles.

Quim Castelló, born in Barcelona, started performing live at the age of 10 with his father’s orchestra (Els Magics) doing more than 120 shows a year. He has shared stage with some jazz/funk/r’n’b renowned artists like Cheryl ¨Pepsii¨Riley, Kimberly Davis (from Chic), Leonard “Asthmaflow” (from The Roots), Miles Robertson (Alicia Keys MD), Robert Glasper, Ron Grant, Gary Willis or Perico Sambeat among others. He has performed in some musical theater shows like Michael Jackson - I Want U Back, Chicago or Goodbye Barcelona. He has played with tribute bands like The Bowie Experience (from UK), Abba Fever Tribute show (from UK) , Dona Summer and Whitney Houston official tributes (from UK).
Some of the great venues he has performed in are: Blue Note New York (NYC), Rockwood Music Hall (NYC), Cafe Wha (NYC), The Village Underground (NYC), Club Groove Cafe (NYC), L'Auditori (Spain) or El Palau de la Música (Barcelona) between others.
